Neuschwanstein

Objective & Concept
The project focused on designing a series of three book covers and a set of playing cards for Neuschwanstein Castle, with the goal of celebrating the castle’s rich history while offering visitors collectible items. The designs center on the beauty of the castle’s stained-glass windows, using their colors and light effects as inspiration to create visually striking covers and cards.

PRINT DESIGN
As part of the concept, I designed a set of playing cards to illustrate potential souvenir items for visitors, though this remains a conceptual exploration. By translating the castle’s architectural details and stained-glass beauty into printed form, the project seeks to capture the magic of Neuschwanstein in a portable, collectible format that visitors can enjoy long after their visit.

Theme & Visual Approach
The series adopts a theme that emphasizes vibrant colors, wide letter spacing, and patterned layouts, all inspired by the geometric and colorful forms of the stained-glass windows. The distorted perspective created by the designs mirrors the way light and color shift when viewed through the windows, producing a playful and immersive experience. This approach not only evokes the castle’s unique visual charm but also blends historical storytelling with artistic interpretation, inviting viewers to explore Neuschwanstein’s beauty in a fresh, engaging way.
