Roots Market

A Cooperative Brand Rooted in Connection and Sustainability
Roots Market was developed as a conceptual cooperative marketplace imagined for St. Augustine, Florida. The project explored the idea of a community-based system where residents could grow produce at home and sell it through consignment-style agreements. The objective was to design a sustainable, locally driven model that supports small-scale growers while encouraging equitable access to fresh, healthy food.

WEB & APP DESIGN
The web design prioritizes clarity and ease of navigation, allowing users to asily explore vendors, browse available produce, and learn about the cooperative model. Meanwhile, the app graphics focus on simplicity and functionality, ensuring that listing items, managing consignment details, and connecting with the community feels effortless.

Visual Identity
The concept for Roots Market was inspired by the interconnected nature of plant root systems. This metaphor served as a foundation for the brand, representing how neighborhoods and individuals are linked through shared experiences and the food they cultivate and consume. Just as roots intertwine beneath the soil, the imagined community of St. Augustine was envisioned as being connected through collaboration, nourishment, and mutual support.
